I spoke to one of my long standing customers for whom we have implemented converged communication solution. He had a story to share about one of their customer wins, which I am recounting here.
They were preparing a solution presentation for one of their customers. They, as usual, had unbelievable timelines by which they need to prepare the presentation. He got hold of his technology folks from whom he wanted inputs and statistics for this presentation. One of them was travelling in Europe, and when he rang up his desk, the call got routed to his soft phone and he could pull in one another guy from his Bangalore office on the extension and three of them could pull together all that were required for the presentation, in spite of their presence in different geographies.
They managed to win the account and their customer was completely impressed with their knowledge on all points of their requirements. This was possible due to converged communication infrastructure that the customer had; is carried over IP network delivered to recipients in real-time.
